Mo Bros at Society
For centuries, the debate has raged - to Mo, or not to Mo?
The male facial hair is said to begin to sprout from the early onset of puberty and is early signs of maturity and the transition into man hood.
The functions of the hair have been unknown. Is it necessary for survival we ask? Or is it necessary for reproduction? These questions are intriguing and debatable.
What is not debatable however, is that, for the month of November, the celebration of the moustache is being displayed by many men across the country and the world to support the Movember Foundation to help raise money and awareness of highlighting men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men.
So for this month, the function of the Moustache is awareness.
Movember is coming to an end and most have either made the choice to grow the Mo and support the cause or have succumbed to the pressure from your girlfriend, friends or colleagues and didn’t. Either way, don’t panic, as the team at Society Restaurant and Bar has your Mo, bro.
Society are the holding the Movember Ender Party this Sunday from 3pm and are inviting everyone to come and support the cause, with limited edition Society Mo Bling on sale on the day.
Donate and purchase the Mo Bling including Movember Stubby coolers and fake Moustaches, which are selling fast especially the glittered Mo’s for the girls.
All proceeds will be going towards the targeted $2000 set by the management.
The party will also have a must see Live Tattooing event by Mick from Cairns City tattooing.
Selected management and staff will have their personal moustaches tattooed on their bodies to support the cause.
Prizes for the best Mo will be awarded on the day along with a great party atmosphere to end the month of awareness.
>> Society’s end of Movember party is this Sunday from 3pm at Level 1, 15 Spence St, Cairns. To make further donations, head to www.societybar.com.au or head in on the day.
