Jawai's Timberwolves notch a win
IT'S taken 14 games but Nathan Jawai has finally notched his first win with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The former Cairns Taipans MVP played close to 13 minutes yesterday as the Timberwolves stunned the Denver Nuggets 106-100.
While Jawai had both his shots blocked, he pulled down an equal career-high seven rebounds and dished off one assist.
The victory snapped a 15-game losing streak for Minnesota, which has the second worst record in the NBA.
Denver, led by superstar Carmelo Anthony, had won its past 17 home games.

The Bamaga behemoth is establishing himself as a key role player for Minnesota, averaging more than 12 minutes a game in the world’s best basketball league.
Jawai played six games for Toronto in his debut season before being traded to Denver and then Minnesota.
