BREAKING NEWS: Police have found a man who escaped from police custody at Ravenshoe on Sunday night.

Tableland police spent yesterday hunting for the 35-year-old man, who escaped from police custody at Ravenshoe on Sunday night.

Mareeba police district Insp Rolf Straatemeier said the man had been charged with a breach of a domestic violence order and assault and escaped when officers were preparing to take him to the Mareeba watchhouse.

However, police located the man about 4am this morning and have taken him back into custody.
