Who had the hottest entertainment ticket in town during 2009? Get voting and help timeOUT decide!
It's been a massive year in entertainment in Far North Queensland and to celebrate, timeOUT is launching a brand new concept aimed at recognising the region’s best events, musicians, artists, shows, exhibitions and venues.
The timeOUT Awards 2009 features 15 entertainment-related categories, with winners decided by you, the readers, through a voting system at www.cairns.com.au/timeoutawards

Has there been an event, show, band or venue that has changed your life in 2009?
Show your support by voting and help them become the winners of the inaugural timeOUT Awards.
Nominations come from a broad selection of the local community, representing Far North Queensland’s top entertainment movers and shakers.
Running from today until December 31, winners will be announced in the first week of next year (along with a bit of a surprise from timeOUT as well), giving you four solid weeks to cast your votes.
Remember, these awards are for you and decided by you, so if there is something that you think deserves recognition, get you and your mates voting to help your act blaze a path to glory.
There will be some great prizes on offer towards the end of the month for voters as well, so get cracking!
