AUSTRALIAN pop singer Peter Andre arrived on the Gold Coast yesterday and will soon come north to visit his Cairns brothers.

One of Andre's brothers, Andrew Andre who co-owns Adelfia Greek Taverna, confirmed the former Oz pop idol would head to the Far North in the New Year.

Peter Andre has endured a turbulent year including the split with his celebrity pin-up wife Katie Price, aka Jordan.

"I have been coming to Cairns since the early 90s and have always felt like it's my second home," Andre told cairns.com.au last year.

"From the great restaurants to the Great Barrier Reef, I am guaranteed a relaxing fun filled time."
