LITTLE BLACK DRESS: At one point in her life, every little girl wants to be a ballerina and wear a tutu.

I danced (if you could call it that) for nine years and yet the dream still escaped me.  Not my older sister however.  She got to be a tutu wearing swan in the end-of-year production of Swan Lake.  Not that I still begrudge you that Katie.  I really did love being a dragonfly with glitter encrusted plastic wings and sequence covered ear muffs for fly eyes.

So, combine my early childhood tutu fascination with a more recent wanna-be rock star obsession and you have today’s Spandau Ballet.

The "tutu" is a petticoat thrifted from Lifeline and then brightened by a few hours in Sards Wonder Soaker.

The studded belt was purchased many moons ago in London during aforementioned wanna-be rock star phase and is on its final legs – the fifth season of FNQ humidity is finally winning the battle over the vinyl.

Speaking of FNQ humidity, how are your shoes, belts and bags coping with all of the recent rain?  I’ve noticed some pretty incredible patterns of mould spores developing.  There is even a furry coating growing on some of my wooden earrings! Yuck.
