Cut to the waist

LITTLE BLACK DRESS: As I typed this blog, I had a revelation which then quickly lead to regret.

About today’s bottom bits.

See, the outfit started from the bottom up - I had resolutely decided that I would weave an outfit around the blue trousers.  So I then went about trying to find something to go on top.

The only thing that seemed to pair well with the electric blue colour was a vintage dress, so I quickly reached for the scissors and cut the bodice from the skirt.  Thinking I had found the answer, I failed to consider the alternative which would have been to ditch the blue trousers completely and wear the bottom half of the vintage dress underneath the LBD, so a couple of inches showed and looked like a peeping petticoat.

We live and learn from our mistakes.

Now all that needs to happen is a dose of regret at having cut up a swinging vintage dress!
