SHORT Stack's Far Northern fans have had a sneak preview of the band's upcoming Cairns show with a meet and greet at Sanity.

Adoring fans gathered at the Cairns Central record store yesterday to catch up with Bradie Webb, the drummer from the New South Wales Central Coast based band.

Bradie is a regular visitor to the Far North, because his mum is from Cairns, but Short Stack has never performed here.

Far Northern fans will finally get to see them on stage next month when they perform at Brothers.

Cairns teen Maddie described the chance to meet Bradie as "the best day ever".

"Thank you so much for coming to Cairns Central," she posted on MySpace.

"See you in march for your concert, proper excited."

Bradie told timeOUT recently he's looking forward to the March concert, despite Cairns' tropical climate.

"It’s a beautiful place, but I’m not a big fan of the hot weather, especially as a drummer," he said.

"We’ve never played in Cairns, although mum has been holding out for a while for that, so it’s gonna be great to get up there with the band, finally."

>> Short Stack play Brothers on Friday, March 12, from 8pm, supported by 52 Flicks. This is an all-ages, 12+ show. Tickets are $50, available at the Brothers website.
