Cyclone Ului no threat for a few days

UPDATE, 10.30am: Cyclone Ului's path remains unpredictable, but the weather bureau doesn't expect it to cross the Queensland coast for at least the next few days.

The weather bureau's latest advice shows at 10am, the category 4 Severe Tropical Cyclone Ului was located over the Coral Sea about 1450 km northeast of Mackay.

The cyclone is moving west-southwest at about 7km/h.

Severe Tropical Cyclone Ului poses no immediate threat to the Queensland coast and is expected to remain well off the Queensland coast for at least the next few days.

Its longer term forecast track is still uncertain but at this stage the most likely scenario is for Severe Tropical Cyclone Ului to remain offshore and track in a general southerly direction. 

It is expected to reintensify to a category 5 cyclone tomorrow.
