Firefighters battle boat blaze at Yorkeys Knob

BREAKING NEWS: Firefighters battled a fire that broke out in a boat off a Cairns beach overnight.

Emergency services were called to the large fibreglass boat docked at the marina off Buckley St, Yorkeys Knob, about 3.30am.

The boat was unoccupied when crews arrived and no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.

Emergency crews remain on scene this morning.
