Edge Hill man, 31, dies in crash

UPDATE: Police have revealed a man who died in a car crash at Manunda last night was a 31-year-old Edge Hill resident.

Police say initial investigations suggest the man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.

The man's name has not been released.

The man died when the red Hyundai sedan he was driving smashed through a road sign and hit a tree before coming to rest in front of a house at Manunda about 10pm.

The crash happened at the intersection of Hoare and Eureka streets, near Trinity Bay High School.

Investigations are continuing.
