Ready to rumble: Jobstopper were over the moon with their big win on Saturday night.

AFTER missing out by half a point in 2010, local ska-punks Jobstopper made good on their quest for timeOUT Day In The Park glory on Saturday night, taking out the Battle Of The Bands grand final at Gilligan's.

Hundreds packed Gilligan’s on the night with the six piece’s infectious singalong sound proving to be a hit with the crowd and judges and earning them the right to play alongside The Living End, Drapht, British India, Nina Las Vegas and reggae-rockers Zennith on the big day.

timeOUT rock journalists Caitlin Williams and Daniel Green were at the event, blogging and posting live photos and updates online.

Only one slot remains on the main stage line-up of timeOUT Day In The Park on August 13, which will be decided at the timeOUT Battle Of The DJs on Friday night at inner city nightspot The Attic. Eight local DJs and producers across a variety of styles hit the decks in the competition, including JT, Crasey, Uzi, Ear Wig, Nick Bradley, DJ Cheffie, The Dub’N’Klub DJs and Inbed Fusion.
