Book Review: Chasing Fire

Little else in life is as dangerous as fire jumping.

Flying past towering pillars of smoke, parachuting down to the edge of an all-consuming blaze, shovelling and sawing for hours upon hours, days at a time, all to hold the line and push back against the raw power of Mother Nature.

Rowan Tripp is a smoke jumper, a born and bred adrenaline junkie. Rowan doesn’t hook up with the rookies and she doesn’t fall in love.

However Gulliver Curry may just prove to be the exception to her rule…

I have read other books on smoke jumping, however this book was very well researched and I learnt a lot without being beaten over the head with techniques and vocabulary. It did make me blush as some scenes are very steamy!

Verdict: Racy, hot and smokin’!

Chasing Fire, by Nora Roberts, is published by Piatkus, Price $32.99.
