Ray-Lee - Life Is Different review
Local songstress Ray‑Lee delivers a haunting collection of six songs for her debut EP, showing maturity and developed songwriting well beyond her 15 years.
At times it’s a melancholy affair, at others positively uplifting – but always punctuated with Ray-Lee’s sweet voice and some delicate acoustic elements from well-known local musos such as Peter Ella and David Niesar and soulful harmonies from vocalist Teagan Russell.
The highlights come in the shape of the second track Falling and the closer You and Me.
Another Cairns star on the rise, well worth the purchase!
>> Ray-Lee’s Life Is Different EP Launch is at Mondo Cafe and Bar on Thursday, December 1, from 7pm, with The Doyle’s, Louarde, Josh McIntyre and more. Free.
