Bang it out with one of the world's biggest names in progressive and techno this Friday night

Far Northern dance music fans get a taste of one of the world’s biggest names in progressive house and techno this weekend, as Israeli superstar Felix Nagorsky drops into town for one night only.

Along with Eli Baltsan, Felix Nagorsky (pictured) is one half of the legendary Israeli duo Weekend Heroes, who burst onto the scene in 2009 and have since gone on to become one of the world’s biggest and busiest production teams, with gigs in all corners of the globe including Russia, Brazil, Mexico, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland and many more.

Their music has been released on the world’s most respected dance imprints, from industry leaders such as Toolroom, Armada and Jee, to underground kings Baroque, Tasted, Unreleased Digital, Iboga, Plastik Park and Galore Music.
Along with their extensive list of originals, they’ve also applied remix treatments to the likes of John 00 Flemming, Tomcraft, Tim Healy, Daniel Portman, Wally Lopez, Gai Barone and Timmy and Tommy, and scored numerous Beatport chart hits in the Progressive House and Techno genres (the biggest dance music and DJ charts in the world).

Hitting Cairns direct from Melbourne’s massive Tribeadelic New Year’s Eve festival for a DJ set, Felix comes armed to the teeth with the freshest techno and house weapons ready to rock Cairns like no other has before him.

Support comes from Adam Giardina, Uzi, Nick Bradley and Waltone, making for another massive night at The Lounge.

>> Open Session featuring Felix (Weekend Heroes) DJ Set at The Lounge is on Friday night, with gates open 10pm. Tickets are $10 early bird, $15 general admission. 18+ Show. ID required.
