One of Israel's top producers and live acts hits Cairns this weekend for one night only.

Direct from Australia’s biggest outdoor electronic music and lifestyle festival, Rainbow Serpent in Victoria, Israeli producer and DJ Reshef Harari hits Cairns this Saturday for one night only.

Reshef is one of Israel’s most experienced and in-demand producers, as one part of legendary progressive duo Quantize, as well as solo projects Captain Hook (psytrance) and Sheff (techno).

After the release of the debut Quantize album at late 2008 on Iboga Records he has been in high demand on dance floors across the globe – from Universo Paralello, XXXPerience, Tribe, Playground & Atmosphere in South America to Burning Man & Symbiosis in the US as well as some of the biggest festivals on the European scene, such as Sonica, Antaris and Hadra, where Quantize have pumped out their unique fusion of psychedelic progressive techno trance.

As already mentioned, he has been releasing techno-tunes on his own for a while with the project Sheff, with tunes heavily supported by key players like Umek, Erphun, and Perfect Stranger.

Now the time has come for a solo-exploration of the progressive side of psychedelic trance with the new project Captain Hook.

Heavy basslines, crunchy grooves, and sound that works like a dynamite on the dance floor are the ingredients, with a focus strictly for the dance floor, things are looking very interesting for one of Israel’s finest sons.

Already hitting the No.1 spot on Beatport several times, it’s now time for North Queensland to experience Reshef Harari’s sound in full flight when he hits The Casbah Lounge on the Esplanade on Saturday night.

Support comes from Player 1, Adam Giardina, Uzi and more.

>> Sheff / Captain Hook hits The Casbah Lounge on Saturday night from 9pm. Tickets at the door.

Israeli king: Reshef Harari aka Sheff/Captain Hook.
