World champions and weekend warriors alike are ready to pull on the joggers and take the stage in front of family, friends and fans as part of the Cairns Airport Adventure Festival.
The starter’s gun was fired yesterday as the Coral Coast Triathlon and Ocean Challenge signalled the start of a week-long event that will inject millions of dollars into Cairns’ economy through visitors and international exposure.

As an in-form Pete Jacobs (pictured right) cruised across the Coral Coast finish line, it laid the first course in a sporting feast in the region this week.
The Green Island Ocean Swim will be held on Thursday and action will continue across the weekend including The Cairns Post Run for Cairns on Friday, Ironkids Cairns Triathlon on Saturday, and the Cairns Ironman on Sunday.
