Fans of reggae, hip-hop and urban music will be in their element this weekend, as Brothers World of Entertainment hosts three island superstars.

In  their own right, Samoan-American J Boog, Hawaii’s George “Fiji” Veikoso and Jamaica’s Peetah Morgan (from Morgan Heritage) are true legends of island music, with a huge back catalogue of music and fans across the globe.

When they are together, you can expect one of the biggest shows of island reggae and urban tunes this side of Kingston, a rare treat that any fan of the style won’t want to miss.

The tour is in support of Fiji’s 20th anniversary in the music industry, a career responsible for spawning an entirely new and unique taste on reggae and urban music, dubbed “lost coast”.

Fiji’s golden voice and musical blends of reggae, hip-hop, R’n’B and jazz set him apart from the crowd, coupled with a remarkable onstage energy and personality.

Both J Boog and Fiji were sell-outs when they breezed through Cairns last year and this weekend looks to be no different, with a huge supporting cast including Hot Rain, Laga, Kiwini, Siaosi and Irie Love ensuring this is four hours of reggae and island sounds you won’t want to miss.

>> J Boog, Fiji and Peetah Morgan hit Brothers World of Entertainment on Saturday night, from 8pm. Tickets are $52, on sale from brotherscairns.com.au or 4053 1053.
