International pop-dance sensation Qwote drops into Gilligan's on Saturday night to perform his big hit Throw Your Hands Up (featuring Pit Bull) and new single Same S----.

Born in Haiti and now hailing from the house music capital that is Miami, Florida, Qwote is signed to Ultra Records, one of the world’s biggest dance music labels.

Inspired by the likes of Michael Jackson and Lenny Kravitz, Qwote has worked alongside the best in the business and is currently taking a break from the studio recording his debut album to hit Australia for a quick tour.

Qwote promises to get the d-floor moving when he hits Gilligan’s this weekend.

“It’s a solo show with lots of energy,” he says. “I’m here to cater for the women – the boys dance if they do anyway.”
Qwote says Cairns will get an exclusive taste of his new album, which he promises will build on the success of his debut single.

“Look out for the album, it’s going to have lots of big records and great feature artists, including Flo Rida, Ray Cross and more.”
