Interpulse live at The Casbah Lounge
Richard Hinkson is one of Australia's longest standing and most travelled electronic music producers, with a career extending more than 15 years and countless projects.
Beginning his musical journey in rock and live bands, Richie’s first foray into the electronic music spectrum was in the ’90s, with his goa project Cyber Soul.
Shortly after, Richie teamed up with one of his former collaborators from one of his bands, Ben Last, to create live tribal-electro psytrance project Mantrix.
Fast-forward to 2007 and Richie began his own solo project Interpulse, focused on progressive trance and techno.
Combining melodic atmospheres with driving basslines, layered percussion and a distinctly Australian outdoor festival vibe, Interpulse will return to Cairns showcasing his soon-to-be-released debut album Eye On A Sphere this weekend.
>> Interpulse performs live at The Casbah Lounge this Saturday night, from 9pm-5am. Local support from Uzi, Nick Bradley, Adam Giardina, Scruffy Goat, FunkForm and more. Tickets $10 before 11pm, $15 after.
