Builder's display village is open for business
It is not every day that one of Cairns' leading builders opens a display village. In fact, it has been a decade since one builder has made such a significant investment.
In what can be described as a great show of confidence for Cairns’ property market, David McCoy Homes will officially open its new display village today with an action-packed program of events, offers and opportunities to win big, including taking home a holiday valued at $5000.
Activities kick off at 10am with a sausage sizzle and face painting fun for the kids. Balloons, giveaways and financial incentives for buyers are also offered.
Situated within the tranquil setting of Bluewater’s master-planned Elysian enclave at Trinity Beach, the David McCoy Homes display village is a must visit for anyone considering buying or building their home in the near future.
Margot Berridge, of David McCoy Homes, says the company is particularly proud to open the village that has been more than 12 months in the making and represents an investment of more than $2 million.
It comprises four thoughtfully designed, contemporary homes in varying sizes from three to five bedrooms.
There is even one two-storey home, which is rare to find in a local display village showcase.
Margot says each one of the four homes has its own special character and charm – be it for the modern family or young urban couple.
“Our very experienced and talented colour consultant, Lynn Colohan, has worked hard to give each home its own special identity while including state-of-the-art furnishings and fixtures,” she says.
“For instance, each home features its own unique colour way and palette along with statement decor and up-to-the-minute appliances. All of our kitchens are fit for a king and queen with the latest in cooking technology from Bosch.”
Phil Leahy, national director Brookfield Residential Properties, is also looking forward to today’s events.
“Today is a milestone well worth celebration,” he says. “So much so we are throwing a party and everyone is invited. We are extremely proud to be associated with this village.”
David McCoy Homes is highly regarded for its display home showcases, in 2009 winning Display Home of the Year in three award categories.
The four new display homes open for inspection are located on the corner of Lighthouse Court and Seashell Dr in Elysian, which is just off Roberts Dr, Trinity Beach.
David McCoy Homes display village is open daily. Today especially, buyers will be invited to walk between the homes at leisure while plenty of helpful people from David McCoy Homes and Bluewater will be on hand to answer questions.
Mr Leahy says there will be significant financial incentives for prospective buyers at the display village today that are only available until the end of July.
“Depending on the size of the allotment purchased, our Bluewater sales team will be offering a minimum of $5000 (financial incentives) that will be honoured at the time of acquisition,” he says.
“Added to this, we will be launching our Foundation Package giving buyers a further $9000 in benefits that include architectural services worth up to $3000, site works worth up to $5000 and a sustainable building consultation worth up to a further $1000.”
