Cairns model search looking for a 'hidden gem'
CAIRNS beauty Lucy Miller will use her pageant expertise this weekend to find the next Far Northern supermodel.
Miss Miller is the current Miss Tropical Beauty Australia and Miss Tropical Congeniality World and last year’s Miss Bikini Body Canada and she will judge the first heat of the Cairns World Supermodel Australia competition on Saturday night where she expects to find some stars.
"What we’re mostly looking for in the girls is natural beauty of course, but also a personality that shines, someone who has the whole package," she said.
"I definitely think there are some incredible girls in Cairns who could stand out on the world stage, I have seen some great potential and ‘hidden gems’ and look forward to seeing who comes forward in the Cairns heats."
Adpro Management Group, which has been integral in the careers of Jennifer Hawkins, Rachael Finch and Jesinta Campbell, are the driving force behind the competition.
The event has a teenage category for ages 16-19 and an adult category for ages 20 onward, with a minimum height of 170cm required in the adult category.
The adult model who is crowned the winner at the final on July 28 will be flown to Sydney for the next stage of the competition.
Applications are still open at www.worldsupermodelaustralia.com.au.
The first heat of the Cairns World Supermodel Australia competition kicks off at 6.30pm on Saturday at Ba8 Lounge Bar at the Shangri-La Hotel at the Pier, with free entry for spectators.
