Stop, listen and groove to one of Melbourne's longest-standing and most respected DJs and producers at The Lounge tonight. 

Dubbed “one of the hottest names in dance music” by prestigious UK publication DJ Mag in 2007, the past decade has seen Melbourne’s Danny Bonnici rightfully claim his place at the forefront of the global electronic music scene.

First rising to prominence as a member of one of Australia’s first and most respected electronic live acts, the ARIA-nominated Nubreed, Danny has since carved out his own niche in dance music, with a string of solo and collaborative original producers and remixes, alongside lending his engineering touch in the studio to some of Australia’s biggest names.

Among much more, his work includes the global smash Ride with Luke Chable in 2003, alongside collaborations with Andy Page, Tim Cahill and Anthony Pappa on labels such as Audio Therapy, Armada, Mesmeric and Baroque Records.

Always one to adopt and integrate new technology into his sets, Danny was one of the first DJs in the country to exclusively use Ableton Live in his DJ sets – now an industry standard.

His mastery of the software is second-to-none in Australia, allowing Danny to truly manipulate sounds on the fly, blurring the lines between DJ set and live every time he plays.

He is also a certified Ableton trainer who has been working with the software since 2002 and has taught for the past six years in both one-on-one and group settings, including at Melbourne’s new Electronic Music Academy.

Outside his own remixes and productions, Danny is also head studio engineer at Liquidmixes (liquidmixes.com) where he does mastering and mixing for various labels and artists – many of which come from outside the dance scene. They include everyone from Bertie Blackman, Kimbra and Sarah Mcleod, to Infusion, Anthony Pappa and Phil K.
