The Far North’s acting Det Insp Ed Kinbacher said police were keen to hear from people who had encountered problems in the area, particularly near Palmerville Station.
“We are urging anyone with information as to Mr Schuler’s whereabouts to come forward immediately,” he said.
“It is quite possible that someone might have information relating to the area, even if it is from as far back as 20 years, which may help us determine the man’s whereabouts.
“We would like to hear from anyone that may have been subjected in the past to threats or intimidating behaviour in the immediate vicinity where Mr Schuler went missing to come forward.”
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
