Two years jail for $40k fraud

A 30-year-old woman has been sentenced to two years%u2019 jail for taking more than $40,000 from her Cairns employer.

Jaylene Joy Fink pleaded guilty to one charge of fraud in the Cairns Magistrates’ Court today.

The court heard she took the money from Cairns Wholesale Paint over about six months from July last year in almost 70 different transactions.

She will serve five months behind bars before being released on a suspended sentence for two and a half years.
