Men + GODS Artist Talk and Opening at KickArts
FREE. 3pm to 4pm. Talk by artist, Brian Robinson who will speak about his new body of work.
FREE. 4pm. To be opened by Avril Quaill, Artistic Director, CIAF. Men + GODS is Brian Robinson’s new body of works in sculpture, etching and linocut that have evolved from a 12-month residency at Djumbunji Press KickArts Fine Art Printmaking Studio.
Napolean Oui Rainforest ID Opening at KickArts

The Overflow FNQ Grand Parade and Fireworks
FREE. 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Watch the procession of 58 floats along the Esplanade with free music from Cairns Pan Stars and fireworks lighting up The Esplanade foreshore from approximately 7.30pm. The Village on Esplanade comes alive with roving entertainment, music on the Cooked in Cairns stage and more.
The Cairns Festival VIP Party at Kani’s, 59 The Esplanade
5.30pm to 7.30pm. Festival’s VIPs will catch all the action from the balcony of Kani’s Restaurant overlooking the Esplanade.
The Minute Exhibit at The Village on Esplanade (The Palace)
Gold Coin Donation. 7pm to 9pm. The Minute Exhibit. The original red velvet one minute box features a tiny art curator preparing an exhibition in his gallery. Cute, funny and surprising. Suitable for ages five and up.
Cairns Pan Stars at The Village on Esplanade (Cooked in Cairns stage)

Fireworks over The Esplanade Foreshore

Wakaid Girl / Lyndhurst Kid at Centre of Contemporary Arts

Seiji Yamauchi – The Fusion of Passions – at The Village on Esplanade (Cooked in Cairns stage)
FREE. 7.40pm to 8.10pm. To the sounds of an ambient soundtrack augmented with accomplished violinist Amy Stevens and piano accordionist Julie Mercer, Seiji creates a striking art piece live on stage.
