Dancing feet taking Holly right to top
SHE might be a farm girl at heart, but that hasn't stopped one Far Northern teen from following her dreams onto the big stage.
Eighteen-year-old Kairi dancer Holly Panigas wowed judges at the finals of Talent Quest Australia to win the adult open section in Sydney on November 2.
"I was quite shocked, I couldn't believe I'd won," Ms Panigas said.
"The adult section had some great Sydney singers and I was pretty stoked to get it."
Ms Panigas, who was been dancing for the past 10 years, impressed the crowd with her contemporary, free movement style of dance.
"It was my own style and my own choreography, and it was something different that the judges hadn't seen before," she said.
Ms Panigas hopes to further her career in dance by studying at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne next year.
