INNISFAIL beauty Maddison Buchanan grew up working on her family's banana farm, but she will soon have a taste of the bright lights of Tokyo. 

Miss Buchanan, 17, who grew up at Innisfail and graduated from Smithfield State High School this year, has been offered a modelling contract with Satoru Japan Inc and will fly out of Cairns for Tokyo on Monday.
It will be the first time Miss Buchanan has been overseas and she said she was looking forward to her new adventure.
"It's a bit of both, excitement and nerves, considering I just finished school and was going to take a gap year," she said.
"I'm looking forward to travelling and meeting new people. I'm used to working on my family's banana farm and it's going to be different to that."
The striking brunette was discovered on Facebook two years ago by Cairns-based Cachelle Model Management director Cachelle Davison, who is now a sister agent to Satoru Japan Inc.
Ms Davison said she saw Miss Buchanan's potential immediately and has since fielded interest from three international agencies, including one in London.
Satoru Japan Inc will be Miss Buchanan's agent for three months, while she is signed exclusively to Cachelle Model Management for five years.
