AN ELDERLY woman is currently being transported to Cairns Base Hospital with suspected neck injuries and head wounds after rolling her car on the Bruce Highway at Bellenden Ker.

The 79-year-old had to be removed from the car through the windscreen by paramedics following the crash which occurred around 1pm.

It is believed she was moving house to Miriwinni and travelling behind the removal vehicle when she lost control and rolled her car.
