A MAN allegedly pulled a gun on a witness during a break-in at a Holloways Beach yesterday morning.

The Holloways Beach man appeared in Cairns Magistrates Court this morning over the break-in of a Gerbera St residence around 9.30am.

It is alleged he was disturbed and pulled a gun out, making threats towards the witness before fleeing on foot.

He was later located by police with his vehicle in a nearby park and taken into custody after a short chase on foot.

He was charged with entering a dwelling with intent whilst armed, stealing, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a category H firearm.
