Police are currently at the scene of a single vehicle traffic crash involving a truck.

The incident has occurred approximately 10km north of Cardwell. 

No serious injuries have been reported however the truck is currently blocking the roadway.

The highway is expected to be closed in both directions for a number of hours.  Traffic is being diverted. 

Motorists are asked to delay travel to the area if possible.
