A Brinsmead man has died after drowning at popular camping spot Lake Tinaroo last night.

Emergency services were called to the Atherton Tableland location around 7pm where the 30-year-old man was unconscious.

Paramedics were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is believed he had entered the water from a boat before getting into difficulty in the water.
