The Only land in Cairns for Ministry Of Sound with Tom Piper
In less than three years, Sydney's The Only has firmly established itself as one of the nation's finest electronic music outfits.
The duo rocketed into the national psyche through their 2010 smash The Only F------ Rave Party, which found its way into the ARIA Singles Chart Top 50 ahead of its official release and without any radio play.
This atomic tune went to No.1 on the Australian Independent Music Chart and become the top Australian artist dance single in the country.
Coupled with their live show favourite Dancin' as the B-side, the single set up a six-month residence in the iTunes dance chart and established The Only's place amongthe hottest new young electronic acts.
With such a grand entry, it wasn't long before ears began pricking up all over the globe, with artists including Steve Aoki, The Bloody Beetroots, Chuckie, Tocadisco and Tiesto all finding places in their sets for The Only's sound.
Fast-forward a few years to the end of 2012 and The Only's list of achievements has only grown.
Now considered among the world's hottest names in electro, the artists have used their talents in the studio to remixing names such as Dizzee Rascal, Armand Van Helden, The Subs, Laserkraft 3D, Drop The Lime, Gtronic, Mightyfools and Bombs Away, alongside a series of mixed compilations.
These include the recently released Ministry Of Sound - The Annual 2013 alongside fellow Sydney-sider Tom Piper.
Currently on tour across the country in support of its release, don't miss The Only when they land in town tonight at Gilligan's.
