Merry Christmas to you and your family from The Cairns Post and cairns.com.au

The spirit of goodwill stays strong in our region, as we celebrate the festive season and support those around us who are less fortunate.

Even during the lows of a struggling economy, the continuing recovery from cyclone Yasi, and a housing market in the doldrums, the region has remained vibrant and united.

We are showing signs of recovery, our tourism numbers rise, and the mood is one of hope.

It’s a hope that we remain safe, prosperous and happy.

To all of our readers, The Cairns Post wishes you a wonderful Christmas.

The Cairns Post will return on Boxing Day.
