Bling in the New Year at The Reef Hotel Casino's Absolut Ball with the 13-piece TOPShelf big band.

KNOWN far and wide for their ability to throw a rocking New Year’s Eve bash, the crew from The Reef Hotel Casino are pulling out all stops on Monday night to ensure you have a place to see out the rest of the year in classy style.

Enlisting the help of the Far North’s own big band, the 13-piece TOPShelf, expect a swingin’ night of funk, soul, jazz and grooves courtesy of some of the region’s most accomplished live musicians in Vertigo Cocktail Bar & Lounge.

Reminiscent of the big band Vegas cabaret era, TOPShelf mirror this classic cabaret concept with a modern twist, ensuring they rock the stage like no other band in Far North Queensland.

But that’s not all!

Also in attendance are Cairns’ favourite ’70s funk rockers Hip2Soul, alongside the biggest balloon drop in Cairns, roving street theatre and all the fun you’ve come to expect from Vertigo and Reef Hotel Casino events.

The best bit about the whole affair is that, unlike many other New Year’s Eve events, entry is totally free, making Monday night at the Casino a great option for the biggest night of the year.

An Absolut Ball is at The Reef Hotel Casino and Vertigo Bar & Lounge tonight, from 8pm-late. Entry is free.
