LOOK out, Kendal Schuler Cairns model Aimee Chirio could be the Far North's next Big Thing.

Aimee, 16, will travel to Townsville on Thursday to audition for FOX8's national television show Australia's Next Top Model, the show that launched the careers of supermodels such as Alice Burdeu and Montana Cox.

This year's ANTM winner will score a lucrative contract with Ursula Hufnagl of Chic Model Management, who is one of the judges and responsible for the soaring success of international catwalk faces Abbey Lee Kershaw and Samantha Harris.

Aimee, who is signed with Cairns agency Lulu's Model Management, said the audition was a great opportunity.

"I'm very excited and a bit nervous, it's definitely an opportunity that could open doors," she said.

"I love modelling, it's such an adrenalin rush. My dream would be to work for Victoria's Secret, but travelling and modelling would also be great."

Lulu's Model Management director Barbara Head said Aimee had a great chance.

"Aimee is fantastic photographically, statuesque, confident and well beyond her years in maturity," she said.

"Her head is screwed on the right way."

FOX8's Australia's Next Top Model Season 8 2013 nationwide audition tour will visit Stockland Shopping Centre, Aitkenvale, Townsville on Thursday, 10am-3pm. Visit fox8.tv for registration details.
