THE Federal Government says it has done enough to prevent the Great Barrier Reef from having its World Heritage listing put "in danger" by the environment-arm of the United Nations.

The Government will today respond to a scathing report by UNESCO's World Heritage Committee in June last year which warned the coral reef system was at risk of losing its World Heritage status unless coastline developments were curbed and conservation efforts improved.

See today's The Cairns Post for full report.
