Comedian Chris Franklin live at Salt House
HAVE a laugh with the king of bogan comedy Chris Franklin at Salt House on Friday.
Beloved Townsville-based comedian Chris Franklin returns north to Cairns tomorrow for another comedy-dinner at Salt House. Franklin is the king of Australian bogan comedy, known for his chart-topping single Bloke.
Nominated for an ARIA for Best Comedy Release and Highest-Selling Single, Bloke is an Australian bogan anthem and helped pave the way for Chris's successful career on stand-up stages around the country.
Chris started performing comedy in October 1997 and in just six months had won the prestigious Triple J Raw Comedy Award for Australia's Best New Talent.
Since then, he's taken a swag of awards and accolades, including the PBS Radio Golden Storm Award for Best Up & Coming Comedian and a Double Platinum Award from ARIA for Bloke.
He has also released a live DVD, Let Bogans Be Bogans, and performed at all of Australia's major comedy venues and events, alongside names such as Jimeoin, Steady Eddy, Garry Who, Carl Barron, Anh Do, Elliot Goblet, Raymond J.Bartholomew, Marty Fields, The Empty Pockets, Peter Rowsthorn, Bob Franklin, Ross Daniels, Stevie Starr and Mr Methane.
He has also supported rock bands such as The Angels, Rose Tattoo, The Screaming Jets, Yothu Yindi and the Radiators.

Chris Franklin performs at Salt House on Friday from 6pm. Two ticketing options are available. The first is $59 per person and includes two hours of canapes and show.
