Warning to cheats in sport
AUSTRALIAN sport's "blackest day" has plunged the NRL and AFL into crisis and rocked elite sport amid revelations entire teams doped as police investigate a scandal bigger than Lance Armstrong's cheating.
But Far Northern sports identities have downplayed the possibility of drugs being used by local teams.
Cairns Taipans stalwart Dusty Rychart dismissed suggestions of drug use in the National Basketball League, saying the use of performance-enhancing drugs "never crossed anyone's mind".
