FRIDAY night sees three international touring live outfits visit The Casbah Lounge for Hoodoo Moon for a big night of cutting-edge electronica.

Headlined by Welsh artist Quanta (Enigmatik Records), US duo Love and Light (Simplify Records) and UK duo Akasha Experience (Free Spirit Records), Hoodoo Moon also features a big line-up of Australian live outfits, DJs and VJs, including Lubdub, Ketaswing, Billy Dread, Ear Wig, Beat Play and VJ Plankton.

Behind the Quanta project is Welsh producer Shane Harris. Shane has been producing music for more than 18 years, working with record labels such as Hustle Recordings, Whoop! Records, Dirtyblue Records and Cuba Recordings.

Since 2010, he has also been working on his project Akasha Experience alongside Irani co-producer Babak Rezvani. The pair have released with Freespirit Records, Dubmission Records and Audio Aashram.

US duo Love and Light land in Cairns fresh from a headline slot at Melbourne's Rainbow Serpent Festival.

They bring their highly-charged, electric live show and fresh sounds from their new album Galactic Booty Activation.

Containing nine tracks of savage yet funky bass music, the album showcases Love and Light's mission to turn heads, move bodies and uplift spirits of dance floors across the globe.

Don't miss your chance to catch these international electronic luminaries when they land in Cairns courtesy of River Rat Productions.

Hoodoo Moon is at The Casbah Lounge on Friday, February 8, from 8.30pm. Tickets $20 on the door.
