BREAKING NEWS: DETECTIVES are currently questioning a number of people over the abduction of a man in Cairns this morning.

The 35-year-old Cairns man was located by police around 5am at a house on Reservoir Rd near the Pease St intersection in Manoora.

He had sustained several non-life threatening injuries to his face, hand, leg and knee and was taken to Cairns Base Hospital for medical treatment.

A crime scene was established at the residence this morning with detectives now speaking with a number of people over the incident.
