Bayview Heights man charged with armed robbery
Detectives attached to Operation Kilo Entourage have charged a 22-year-old Bayview Heights man following investigations into an incident at Bungalow last year.
It will be alleged shortly before 3am on February 12 two men gained entry to a Morehead Street residence before threatening the occupants with a firearm and knife.
The pair allegedly assaulted a 44-year-old man before stealing a sum of cash and leaving the address.
The man was charged with one count each of armed robbery with violence whilst in company, entering a dwelling with intent, deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm and common assault. He was also charged in relation to an unrelated fraud matter.
The man will appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on April 17.
