Every year from November to March, the Cairns region becomes vulnerable to the possibility of a major cyclone. The worst in recent history was Cyclone Larry in March 2006 when the districts of Babinda and Innisfail copped the worst of the wild weather.


People who live in the Cairns region, however, have become used to phenomenon and with a little preparation and common sense you can easily survive a tropical cyclone or storm.


Below are a number useful tips, numbers and other information that can help you prepare to survive the Cyclone Season in the Cairns region.
